Install

Chrome

JerkDefender is submitted to the Chrome Web Store. Once approved, install is one click.

Also works on Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and other Chromium browsers.

First-time setup

1. Click the puzzle-piece icon in the top-right of Chrome and pin JerkDefender to your toolbar.
2. Click the shield icon to open the settings popup.
3. Set your wait time — how long of being away before cleanup fires. Default is 30 minutes.
4. Check or uncheck which things get erased: history, cookies, cached data, open tabs.
5. Add any sites you want to keep cookies for (GitHub, Gmail, your bank) in the whitelist.

Firefox

A Firefox build is available, but must be signed through AMO to install permanently. Until then, you can load it as a temporary add-on via about:debugging.
